About

Margot Kat - Rootfolk
Margot grew up with a deep connection to nature and art, something that has shaped her creative path and vision. From this foundation, she developed Rootfolk, through which she draws on the beauty and wisdom of nature as a source of inspiration. Through her ceramic work, she tells poetic stories that invite people to look differently at what often goes unnoticed in nature.
Themes such as origin, connection, growth, and transience are central to her work. Trees hold a special place in her practice.
In addition to her work as an artist, Margot has been guiding people in their creative development since 2015, with a focus on creative energy, mindset, and skills. Through retreats and one-on-one coaching, she helps people find creative direction, make the creative process their own, and transform limiting patterns.
Alongside her experience as a creative lead, coach, artist, art and design teacher, and educational developer, she is a certified breath coach, shamanic practitioner, and is currently completing a three-year training in NLP, Transactional Analysis, and Systemic Work at Phoenix Opleidingen in Utrecht.
With this multidisciplinary practice, she offers a professional foundation for anyone who wants not only to develop the essence of creativity, but also to integrate it sustainably into their life.
